Greetings Villano Families,
We had a wonderful week at Villano School! Throughout the week, our students and faculty enthusiastically embraced the annual Week of Respect. The daily challenges were a huge hit; students wrote thoughtful notes of appreciation to former teachers and classmates, celebrated their differences, shared compliments, and reflected on what they love most about the Emerson community.
On Friday, students participated in our Student Congress elections. I am incredibly proud of every student who completed the application process and bravely delivered a speech to their classmates. With these initial elections finalized, we look forward to the entire student body voting for our Student Congress Officers.
Friday morning also brought a beautiful Walk to School Day. We are so grateful to the Emerson Marching Cavos for leading the way on our walk to Villano, and our sixth-grade symphonic band did a phenomenal job marching alongside the older students. Thank you to all the community members, parents, and students who came out to support this event, which helps raise awareness about building healthy personal habits and protecting our environment.
